So from the start of the lesson, I ask my students what they want to draw, and most of the time they each pick a reference image to draw from during that lesson. Here are some of my drawings/doodles that I completed during the lessons as demonstrations for the student: 
Just to be clear, none of these drawings are the student’s drawings. All of the reference images were taken off of Google Images.
I really needed to post something on my blog. I just moved from Queens, New York, to Jersey City in New Jersey! A whole week of running errands, packing and then moving and then running more errands! So exhausting @_@
I really do enjoy teaching though. I love being able to help students get to where they want to be, or at least help them get closer to achieving what they want.
Best and most simple advice I can give to all students of art/drawing: Just keep drawing!

Sorry for not updating nearly as frequently lately, but here’s a quick update of what I’ve done lately:
Still in the earlier stages of this and I’m likely going back to adjusting values without color before going back into color.
Don’t worry. There is no way in the world I would abandon our baby dinosaurs. I will MAKE time to make it happen! I must!
Also, I got a student accepted into the Frank Sinatra School of Arts High School as well as the Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School! I helped him prep his portfolio and for his auditions. He’s a great draftsman and artist. Congrats to him!
I think I learned a thing or two about using automation to create certain visual effects instead of insisting on doing everything by hand.
I did this painting for my own learning experience, practice, and to make a flyer for my private art teaching services.
I looked at my Pinterest board for inspirations to get this painting working for me. I also looked at Lois van Baarle’s amazing artwork for some inspiration as well.
I know for a fact I’ve been trained pretty well with gray-scale/black&white stuff, I just haven’t been using that to my advantage. I should really try this method of drawing and painting more.
