I’m Emily So and I enjoy making graphics for video games, drawing, digital painting and animating in 2D.
I graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Carnegie Mellon University in May 2012, and interned as an artist at Disney Research in Pittsburgh for just over a year. I’ve been freelancing since fall of 2012, mostly making game graphics — from concept art to implementable sprites. I’ve worked on quite a few different projects that involved different tasks, including costume design, character designs for writers, user interface designs and logo designs.
Since fall of 2014, I’ve been tutoring as a private art teacher, helping students prepare their portfolios for (art) school admissions, Adobe Photoshop, general drawing, and anything else seen in my portfolio that students would like to learn how to do!
I took ESL for 3 years in elementary school, and yet I was born and raised in New York State 😛
I currently reside with Chris in Jersey City, where I work remotely for my clients and teach art to students privately.
Please visit my Art Blog for most recent updates of my work 🙂
You can also watch some of my video game play-throughs with my dinky commentary here! (PG-13 for language :P).
